We had left the Delphinus in hot humid Trinidad for the summer and
returned to the Untied States for weddings and to visit friends. While at
the wedding we bump in to Adam Stone - one time crew member of Delphinus,
and he tells us that he and another friend are going to Africa to drive Land
Rovers around South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia. |

After not too much thought we sign on to the trip. We had intended on
returning to the boat in November. So instead of returning we book tickets
to Johannesburg South Africa. Where our trip will start. |
|
We have a few things to prepare for and interesting enough our flight
leaves from Atlanta, were our friends from St Croix live, Phil and Judy. So
we head to Atlanta for a visit and to prepare for the wilds of Africa. |

There is just one catch. While visiting our friend in Oklahoma, K2 attempts
to wrestle a horse and ends up with 2 broken ribs just 5 weeks before we are
to leave for Africa. The timing could not be worse. |
